Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up money equal to your initial bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
