Have you seen the new PokerPro hold em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks back when I took a quick holiday with my mother to the WinStar Gambling establishment in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be summoned at the live tables, I watched how the other people at the PokerPro tables relate with each other. It was quite interesting to say the very least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no clay poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Perhaps I was the only one that recognized this, but I did notice the gamblers in the table had a lifeless quality to them. The reason behind this may possibly be because there was no human interaction with the dealer, the atmosphere was rather boring and the players looked uninterested. It was almost as if I was looking at a live version of an online texas hold’em poker room rather than being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a little bit bizarre and I continued to have flash backs to a show of The Next Generation and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables for more than an hour, I made the decision to see how the casino game action was and to encounter this new hold’em poker gaming technology. Soon after playing a few hands, I definitely felt like I was betting at house. The lack of activity on the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these electronic tables.
One more thing I noticed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a great deal of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a lot like an internet holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to become very odd.
After playing a couple of rounds with this "new texas hold em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m much better off betting hold’em poker on the web at residence and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling house have been to receive rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a whole lot of players.
