Doyle Brunson’s handle, "Texas Dolly," is really a product of error made by Jimmy Snyder who was expected to say, "Texas Doyle" when saying Brunson but read the first name improperly. The nickname got stuck and his pals inside the gambling world merely call him Dolly.
