Beyond a doubt millions of people are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "charming guys" of poker. Although "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tournament payouts amounted to in excess of four and a half million dollars and he attained 2 highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In Feb Two Thousand and Six he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel still has the humility to speak with his admirers about how they might improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an instructional video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of Two Thousand and Five, his complete life winnings exceed $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the most active players in poker and from 2000 and Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in well over 100 tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also coined the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a especially bad defeat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are just about six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won five WSOP titles with two of his successes happening in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" as a result of his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to throw playing cards quick enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
