Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in a wonderful game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the croupier, not like nearly all other poker games that players bet against other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t have to fret about other, more skillful gamblers winning their moolla.
An additional Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make frenzied selections.
It is also simpler to bet on for an extended time with just a little bit of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the dealer receives seven cards face down.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
