Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the different players attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the casino. After the wager comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with a sum equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up chips even with your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
