Poker has become globally famous recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a sum equal to the initial wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
