Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in an awesome game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the dealer, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers wager against other players. By competing against the dealer, new players do not need to fret about any other, more knowledgeable players taking their money.
Another Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game pace, beginners will be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty decisions.
It’s also easier to bet on for a very long time with basically a small amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier is given seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
