Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a figure on par with the original wager. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
