Internet poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players acquire five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes directly to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure equal to the original wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
