Literally countless of individuals are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on 4 of the more famous "charming pros" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are playing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tourney payouts amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he won two immensely admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was named Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel still has the decency to talk with his fans about how they can improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His success has lead to him making an educational poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and between Two Thousand and 2004 he placed in the money in well over 100 events. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are just about six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured 5 World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total live poker tourney earnings exceeded five million dollars.
